Dev vs Marketing cycles

Awardable is a passion project created by a small, dedicated team of developers, marketers, and artists who fund everything ourselves. Usually, we work on development and marketing at the same time, but sometimes the unpredictable nature of development means we have to pause our marketing efforts to finish up features.

We're working on finding a better balance to avoid these gaps, so we can keep engaging with our community and making an impact while we build.

What’s new?

So much has happened! We've built, tested, and shipped almost a dozen new features since our last update. Here’s a rundown of some of the most exciting additions:

  • Shopify App: We’ve launched a new application on the Shopify App Store, allowing users to reward their customers with badges and points that can unlock discounts and exclusive products. This is a significant step for our ecommerce marketing strategy.
  • Paid Points: Creators can now sell their points on Awardable and earn money from each sale, opening up new revenue streams for content creators.
  • New Standard Post Type: All users can now create simple text posts, similar to tweets, using AWRD’s gating systems.
  • Base Chain NFT Contract: We’ve added support for our seventh blockchain, Base, enabling users to mint their badges as NFTs.
  • Solana Points: Creators can now launch their points as tokens on the Solana blockchain, while still taking full advantage of AWRD’s features.
  • Ambassador Program: We’ve established a comprehensive program to quickly onboard and empower users who want to grow with our brand. This initiative is designed to strengthen our community and foster brand loyalty.

And that’s just a few highlights. These updates significantly enhance the Awardable ecosystem, offering more tools and opportunities for our users.

What’s next?

Looking ahead, we've got our marketing content planned out for the next nine weeks. This structured approach lets our marketing team actively promote our new features while our development team focuses on software and UX improvements. This way, we can keep a strong presence in the community while continuing to innovate.

During this time, we’ll also be working on securing partnerships with individuals, communities, and brands across various industries to further expand our product and network.

Additionally, the AWRD team will be using Awardable more strategically to demonstrate its capabilities and provide transparency into our processes and challenges. This will not only showcase what our platform can do but also help us connect more with our community.
