Awardable's first Solana integration

Awardable started as an NFT platform designed to make it easier for creators to get their artwork onto blockchains. Initially, we focused on Badges and were exclusive to the mainnet. Over time, we expanded by deploying Smart Contracts to various Ethereum L2s and sidechains, including Polygon, Optimism, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Binance, and most recently, Base. Despite offering a wide array of Web3 features, we have always been selective about where and how we deploy, ensuring each move aligns with our mission and provides real value to our users.

Solana Genesis

We've always wanted to establish a presence on Solana, but it was important to do so in a way that was valuable to our users and authentic to our brand. Initially, we considered Solana as another network to mint Badge NFTs, but maintaining multiple separate contracts for the same purpose didn't make sense from a technical standpoint. Instead, we decided to leverage Solana’s SPL standard, allowing Points to be launched as tokens on the network. This approach offers a streamlined and efficient way to integrate Solana into our platform.

Deploy a Contract

Deploying a contract on Solana through Awardable is easy and free for creators and claimers, aside from network fees. Here’s how it works:

1. Connect Your Wallet: Link your Solana Wallet to your Awardable account.
2. Access the Feature: If you’re on the Pro plan, you’ll see the “Launch on Solana” option in the settings menu of your Points.
3. Set Up and Launch: Once the transaction is confirmed, a contract with your Points’ information is launched on Solana with the supply you choose during setup.

After deployment, you can continue to create events for your Points on Awardable. Claimers will now be able to mint their balances to their Solana wallet, offering seamless integration with the blockchain.

Some Limitations

While creators own their contracts, Awardable maintains delegated access to distribute tokens earned on our platform. Here are some key points to consider:

• Support: Awardable cannot offer support for tokens once they have been minted. We can only support functions within our platform.
• Re-deposit: Tokens based on Points cannot be redeposited back to Awardable or used to interact with the platform. Minted points are subtracted from your on-platform balances.
• Paid Points: Solana Points cannot use our Paid Points program to be purchased with fiat and vice-versa. Once you decide to launch on Solana, the decision is final.

These limitations ensure clarity and help manage the ecosystem effectively.
