Since introducing Points, many users have asked for a quick and easy way to reward posts. Inspired by platforms like Reddit, we developed a gifting system. Now, users can gift Stars, the official Points of Awardable. Stars can be used for Pro plan access or other platform unlocks and upgrades.
Add Gifts to Posts
If you see a post you like, simply click the star icon below it to choose the number of Stars you’d like to gift. If you have enough Stars, the gift will be attached to the post instantly, deducting from your balance. If you don’t have enough Stars, a menu will appear allowing you to purchase more. The number next to the star icon shows how many Stars have been gifted to that post. Clicking the number will show the leaderboard of gifters, so you can see who else has appreciated the post.
Send Gifts to Users
To send Stars directly to a user, visit their profile and click the star button next to their picture. This opens an interface where you can select the number of Stars you’d like to gift. Users receive notifications when they are sent Stars, either directly or on their posts, making it easy for them to see and appreciate your gesture.
Future Thinking
In the future, we plan to expand the gifting feature to allow gifts using any Points on the platform that are part of our Paid Points program. For now, we’re starting with Stars to refine the user experience and gather feedback. The Awardable account is always on the lookout, gifting Stars to high-quality posts in the feed.
